North Head Fitness

North Head Fitness opened its doors in 2012, originally as CrossFit North Head.

CFNH continues to be part of our business, as we are passionate about the methodology of CrossFit and the benefits of functional movement through its training principles.

In 2018 we evolved to North Head Fitness, with the introduction of additional classes to complement our existing training offerings.  This now includes Boxing and Sports Performance programs, in addition to continuing with our CrossFit workouts, Endurance, Barbell and Kids programs.

Our Owners

SCOTT MORAN

Scott has a wealth of experience in many sports at a competitive level. Scott was a former Manly Sea Eagles Under 20’s player before switching to Mixed Martial Arts. Scott has been training MMA full time for the last few years and has competed in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing. Scott has a strong passion for coaching and as a Boxing Coach, particularly enjoys developing newcomers with a range of goals, whether it be to increase overall fitness or to one day compete.

JULIA HIGGS

Julia Higgs

Julia has been a personal trainer for over 13 years and is Co-Owner and Coach of North Head Fitness. Her background in the fitness industry over the last 25 years ranges from Basketball, climbing several peaks over 6000m, marathon running, CrossFit and Natural Bodybuilding. Julia is a Nutrition Coach and specialises in Nutrition for fat loss, transformations and for athletic performance. The best part of her job is coaching everyday people to achieve things they never thought possible.

Our Coaches

ALEX CHEE

Alex has had exposure to a wide range of competitive sports from a young age, from track and field and rugby to Olympic weightlifting, CrossFit and Gymnastics. As a CrossFit Coach, personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Alex has a strong interest in the personal development of his client’s fitness levels whether for sports-specific performance or everyday life.

Andrew-Berridge

Andrew Berridge

Andrew is Head Coach and co-owner of North Head Fitness and is an experienced Strength and Conditioning professional with over 15 years of experience in coaching individual clients, athletes and teams. From experience working with exceptional athletes and coaches around the world, this results in deep knowledge and unique skills in training programming and design to form a ‘blueprint’ to build successful athletes and achieve performance goals. He’s had the opportunity to learn from exceptional athletes and coaches around the world, and compete himself, in both CrossFit (2 x Individual Athlete and 2 x Team Athlete in the Pacific Region) and Muay Thai (8 x Australian title holder).

Andrew is also a strength and conditioning coach in rugby league working with both the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles as well as New Zealand Rugby League and provides online rugby strength and conditioning programming as co-owner of The Rugby Project.
