Crossfit

Simply addictive, and extraordinarily effective, CrossFit combines functional movements into workouts that anyone from everyday to athlete can participate in. Every class can be scaled and adjusted for all levels of ability & fitness. Don’t assume that you can’t do it… come and find out what you CAN do!

Functional Strength & Conditioning

Our newest class to North Head Fitness! This class is the perfect mix of Strength & Conditioning training. It is designed to build functional strength, improve athletic performance, and enhance overall fitness. Our experienced coaching staff will help you gain technical proficiency across all key movement patterns. Whether you’re looking to gain strength, improve fitness or try something new this class is for you!

Boxing/kickboxing

This class is open to all experience levels. It is a fitness based class that draws on a foundation of boxing and kickboxing techniques and drills. Sessions include a variety of partner pad work and bag work to get the heat and lungs pumping. Participants will gain a basic understanding of punches & kicks and combining these for an intense training session.

Barbell

Want to learn to Clean and Jerk and Snatch ? Under the expert eye of our Olympic lifting coaches you’ll learn the correct technique and accessory lifts for these movements. Beginners are welcome and if you’re an advanced lifter come with the adrenalin pumping ready to do some serious lifting!

Kids And Teens Muay Thai

We offer a structured syllabus based Muay Thai program for kids (6-10 yrs) and Teens (11yrs+). The classes are a great way for kids to have fun & burn off some energy in a fitness-based martial art that teaches the values of hard work, discipline and focus. During each session students will learn and build upon techniques and principles of Muay Thai and work their way up through our grading system.

CROSSFIT TEENS

Suitable for 11yrs+ we teach the fundamentals of movement patterns, technique and skills in a fun environment designed to burn off some energy and create some great movers. A combination of bodyweight exercises, medballs and fun skills like rope climbs they’ll keep wanting to come back for more.

Julia has over 15 years coaching experience and almost 10 years experience as one of the original founders of North Head Fitness.
Julia loves the outdoors and has climbed several peaks in the Himalayas over 6000m, rock and ice climbing as well as running several marathons, when she’s not doing that you’ll find her snowboarding in Japan !

She enjoys setting goals and competing and has competed in 2013 and 2014 in the AU/NZ CrossFit Regional Teams. Since then she has competed in multiple Natural Physique competitions and Powerlifting Competitions, most recently placing 3rd at Australian Powerlifting Federation Masters Nationals for the last 2 years.

Julia is a Sport Nutritionist, where she works for the global regulatory body, ‘Sports Nutrition Association’ as an Academic Assessor as well as one of the Educators at the National Women’s Fitness Academy.

She specialises in transformations and has spent over 5 years educating and delivering transformation results for the everyday person. She has also worked with numerous endurance athletes to help fuel optimally for their training and events and with many MMA fighters to get to their fight weights.

She works as a Strength and conditioning coach and Sports Nutritionist for Warringah Aquatic National and Olympic level swim team as well as S&C Coach for Manly Warringah Netball Womens Open Teams. Not only is she passionate about her job but she gets to make a positive impact on peoples lives everyday and helps them achieve what they never thought possible.

Scott is a Strength & Conditioning coach & Co Owner of North Head Fitness. His current role is Head of Performance for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Elite Pathways Program. He has formally worked with a range of professional athletes ranging from court, field and combat based sports.

Scott is responsible for the programming of all our Strength & Conditioning Programs as well as our Barbell Programs. He also looks after the Sports Performance Program at North Head Fitness. This program is for junior athletes looking to get an edge on their chosen sport.

As an athlete himself Scott has played high level Rugby League for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in their 2015 Holden Cup u20s team. As well as this he has a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jujitsu and has competed in both BJJ, Muay Thai and MMA.

Scott’s favourite part of his role is working with everyday people who want to become better versions of themselves and most importantly, live happier and more confident lives.
